About
I believe that one should continually strive towards self-improvement, regardless of what others are doing. You need to pay attention to those around you, of course, but not so much that you neglect improving your own skills and building upon your own knowledge.
I don’t think you can ever be fully satisfied with your own work while you are still in the midst of doing it. There’s always some tweaking to be done and even when you’ve put the last touch on it—whether because you’ve reached your deadline or it’s time to go to bed!—you still feel as though more could be done with it.
It is not until some time has passed—perhaps weeks, months or even years—and we look back on our work that we can appreciate and be satisfied with what we have done. By that time, you may have forgotten those minor details that irked you and you felt needed improvement at the time you were working on it.
Or not.
Such is the way of things.
